Papadopoulos: Clapper Went to New Zealand and Australia to Cover Tracks in Deep State Surveillance on Trump Camp

Opinion| Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey and DNI James Clapper took a trip in 2016 to New Zealand.

The Gateway Pundit explains that “New Zealand, the UK, Australia, Canada and the US are all members of the FIve Eyes Intelligence Pact.”

Former Trump campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos accused members of Five Eyes for months of surveilling him and other Trump campaign officials throughout the 2016 presidential election.

On Wednesday, Papadopolous sent out a tweet saying that former DNI James Clapper took a trip back to New Zealand recently in order to try and cover his tracks.

He tweeted, “Keep an eye on Clapper’s recent trips to New Zealand and Australia. He’s trying to cover his tracks along with those two governments which were willfully interfering in our democratic process! The transcripts of my meeting with Downer are ready to come out. America is ready.”

He pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with one of those people and served 11 days in prison last year.”Was it spying?” CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked Clapper Friday. “I guess it meets the dictionary definition of surveillance or spying, a term I don’t particularly like.”

“I will say that using undercover agents is a standard and legitimate technique that is widely used in investigations,” Clapper replied.
